§ 30-5.11. Building permit.

  • (a)

    Where Chapter 8 of the Village Code requires a building permit, no development is permitted until and unless the Zoning Administrator has issued a building permit for that development in accordance and compliance with the terms of this Zoning Ordinance and Chapter 8 of the Village Code.

    (b)

    Upon receiving a building permit which is subject to appeal under Section 30-5.15 of this code, the applicant must immediately post a notice on the subject property, provided by the Zoning Administrator, indicating that a permit has been issued by the Village. The notice must be posted in a prominent place on the subject property, in a manner clearly visible from the public way, for thirty (30) days from the date of issuance. The notice shall include the following statement: "ISSUANCE OF THIS PERMIT IS SUBJECT TO APPEAL BY ANY AGGRIEVED PARTY TO THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF ISSUANCE. ANY WORK PERFORMED PURSUANT TO THIS PERMIT DURING THIS 30 DAYS IS ENTIRELY AT THE RISK OF THE APPLICANT."
