§ 14-262. Duty to report to police.

The driver of any vehicle involved in any accident within the village resulting in injury to or the death of any person or damage to any other vehicle or damage to any public property, real or personal, shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of the accident or as close thereto as possible, and shall immediately return to and in every event shall remain at the scene of the accident until he has given his name, address, and registration number of the vehicle he is driving to a police officer.
