§ 14-520. Prohibited in certain areas.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful for any person riding upon or by means of any roller skate (including in-line roller skates), coaster, skateboard or similar device to:

    (1)

    Go upon any roadway, sidewalk or other public property in the Central Business District bounded by Park Avenue, Wilmette Avenue (west of Green Bay Road), Greenleaf (east of Green Bay Road), 11th Street and Washington and the easterly extension thereof; or

    (2)

    Go upon any roadway or sidewalk in an area zoned VC, GC-1, GC-2, NR, PCD-1 or PCD-2, where such area has been posted with signs prohibiting such activity; or

    (3)

    Go upon any parking lot owned by or operated by the village which has been posted with signs prohibiting such activity.

    (b)

    The Chief of Police and the Village Engineer are authorized, in their discretion, to post the areas described in this section with appropriate signs as required herein.
