§ 1-9. Village datum.

(a)

A horizontal plane of reference hereby is established in the village, to which all grades hereafter fixed or provided for by the Board in ordinances for public improvements, or otherwise, shall refer.

(b)

The plane of reference shall be known as the village datum and shall be defined as a brass cap set in a six-inch concrete post, located on the Easterly side of the Wilmette Village Hall, 23.0 feet North of the "T" in an engraved brick labeled "CTA," 101.4 feet South of the center line of Central Avenue, and 30.9 feet Northwest of the center of the North flagpole; elevation 35.80 feet.
