Chapter 24. REGULATION OF CERTAIN COMMERCIAL AND QUASI-COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES |
Article III. MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENTS |
§ 24-67. State license required.
It shall be unlawful for any business licensed under this article, which is a massage establishment, to permit massage or massage therapy to be provided by any employee or other person on the premises of the business, unless that person is one of the following:
(1)
A certified massage therapist; or
(2)
A massage apprentice who is under the direct physical supervision of a certified massage therapist while providing massage services; or
(3)
Otherwise exempt from the requirement to be a licensed massage therapist, pursuant to section 25 of the Illinois Massage Licensing Act (ILCS ch. 225, act 57, § 25), now or hereafter amended.
