§ 24-460. Inspection.

  • (a)

    Prior to issuance of license. The village shall inspect the group home facility prior to the issuance of an initial Group Home License or renewal Group Home License to determine that it complies with the village's codes.

    (b)

    During the term of the license. The village shall have the right to inspect a facility covered by a Group Home License to determine whether the requirement for a license set forth in section 22-458 and the conditions of the license (and any other conditions imposed as a result of zoning relief) are being met. During such an inspection, the village may request the opportunity to speak with staff and residents.

    (c)

    Notice. The village shall give the applicant or licensee reasonable notice of an inspection of a group home facility, provided that no notice shall be required if the village has reasonable grounds to believe that there is an imminent threat to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the group home.
