§ 26-247. Stub installation.

Latest version.
  • (a)

Whenever it may be found necessary to make a connection between a building drain and the public sewer in the street where no "Y" or "T," was originally placed in the sewer, a stub will be installed by a licensed plumber.

    (b)

Where no stub, "Y" or "T" exists, an entire length of the public sewer shall be removed and replaced with a "Y" or "T" length unless a special saddle cap cut in connection, or equal, which will not allow the spigot end of the house sewer to project beyond the inner surface of the main sewer, is used. No cut-in connection, made by breaking or cutting a hole in the main and inserting the spigot end of an ordinary sewer pipe shall be permitted.
