§ 26-264. Industrial users; requirements.

  • Industrial cooling water or unpolluted process waters may be discharged, on approval of the village, to a storm sewer, combined sewer, or natural outlet. No industrial user may discharge sewage into any public sewer until the village has adopted an industrial cost recovery system which:

    (1)

    Meets the current requirements of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, which may be amended from time to time, and any other applicable federal regulations; and

    (2)

    Has been approved in accordance with the conditions of any grant made to the village by the United States Environmental Protection Agency or by the State for the construction of any part of the sewer system or sewage treatment works of the village.
