§ 26-106. Taps and connections.

Latest version.

All connections of any service pipe to a water main shall be made by the village. Application for a permit to connect any service pipe with a water main shall be made to the Director of Engineering and Public Works and shall state the day on which the applicant requests that the tap be inserted into the water main by the village. No connection to the water distribution system shall be permitted which, in the judgment of the Village Engineer, will result in exceeding the adequacy of the water main which supplies the area in which the property to be served is located.
