§ 26-180. Rates within the village.

  • The following rates are hereby established for consumers within the village receiving water from the water system of the village.

    (1)

    The minimum charge for each three-months period shall be $21.44. The charge for water used shall be $2.68 per 100 cubic feet. The minimum charge, as provided for in this section, shall not be applicable to water consumed at a service address where the consumer is a political subdivision of the State or other local public entity.

    (2)

    Water service provided to a service address that is not equipped with a water meter, including water service for construction activities temporarily supplied, shall be required to pay a flat rate of $5.00 per day for every day water service is supplied to such a service address. On and after January 1, 2014, the rate shall be $5.15 per day. Nothing in this section shall be deemed or interpreted to restrict the village from requiring the consumer of the service address to install a water meter.
