§ 2-37. Election; term; limitation; title of Mayor.

  • The President of the village is elected for a term of four years. No person shall be elected to the office of President for more than two full four-year terms. No person who has been elected and served for more than 25 months of an unexpired term shall be elected to the office of President for more than one full four-year term. Any person who has been appointed to or acted as President for less than 25 months may be elected to two full four-year terms. The President may also use the title of Mayor, as provided by statute.
