§ 2-255. Prosecution, defense.

The Corporation Counsel shall prosecute or defend any suits or actions at law or in equity to which the village may be a party or in which it is interested, or which are brought against or by any officer of the village on behalf of the village or in the capacity of that person as an officer of the village, whenever directed to do so by the President or the Board.
