§ 2-133. Approval of appointments.

  • (a)

    In all cases where the appointment of a member of a board or commission is required to be made jointly with the Board of Trustees, the President shall present to the Board the name of the President's recommended appointee, together with relevant biographical data in support of such appointment, no later than the meeting preceding the date of the appointment. Said appointee shall appear in person before the Board prior to the date of appointment. Said appearance need not be at a regular Board meeting, but may be at any time or place selected by the Board, provided, however, that said appearance may be dispensed with upon affirmative vote of a majority of the Trustees.

    (b)

    Forty-five days prior to the expiration of the term of any appointed office, the Board shall be notified of such expiration by the President, who shall receive recommendations for any such appointment by the Board, the Village Manager or other persons.
