§ 2-186. Authority over employees.

The Village Manager shall have the power to hire all employees, except police officers and firefighter/paramedics subject to applicable provisions of state law, at such compensation as is authorized by the Board of Trustees. All employees shall perform their duties under the direction of the Village Manager, or under the direction of the supervisor to whom such employee is assigned. Subject to the provisions of state law, the Village Manager shall have the power to discharge any employee.
