§ 2-188. Annual budget.

  • On or before the date of the first regular meeting of the Board of Trustees in October of each year, the Village Manager shall submit to the Board of Trustees a proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year, an accompanying budget message, and a five-year capital improvements program. The Village Manager shall supervise the Budget Officer in the preparation of the budget, and the budget shall be prepared as generally set forth in section 6-23. The Village Manager shall also cause to be prepared, for consideration and enactment by the Board of Trustees in the manner required by law, a tax levy ordinance, and any related ordinances or resolutions required by law.
