§ 2-283. Books of account and papers; inspection.

  • The Village Treasurer shall keep such books of account as the Board directs. He shall keep all books, papers, vouchers, warrants, documents and all other instruments in writing, appertaining to his office, in a fireproof vault or safe, which books, papers, vouchers, warrants, documents and other instruments in writing shall at all times be open to inspection by the President, any Trustee, the Village Clerk and the Corporation Counsel. When required by the President, Village Clerk or any Trustee, he shall have the aforementioned books, papers, vouchers, warrants, documents and other instruments in writing at the village hall for such reasonable time as is necessary for the proper auditing thereof.
