§ 2-1247. Freedom of Information Officers.

  • (a)

    The Deputy Village Clerk, Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of the Fire Department, and Assistant Director of Community Development shall be the Freedom of Information Officers as required in section 3.5 of the Freedom of Information Act on and after January 1, 2010 (ILCS ch. 5, act 140, § 3.5). In the temporary absence of any Freedom of Information Officer, the Village Manager may designate any employee of the village to act as an interim Freedom of Information Officer.

    (b)

    Designees. The Clerk may designate an individual or individuals to receive requests under the Freedom of Information Act. Such designation is subject to the approval of the Village Manager.
