§ 2-412. Duties.

  • The Director of Finance shall perform such functions as may be directed by the Village Manager. These duties shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:

    (1)

    Function as the ex officio Village Treasurer.

    (2)

    Shall perform such functions as may by law or ordinance be performed by a municipal collector.

    (3)

    Have charge over and administer the Finance Department.

    (4)

    Supervise the preparation of all necessary financial statistics pertaining to the village.

    (5)

    Assist the Village Manager and the Board of Trustees in the preparation of the annual appropriation ordinance.

    (6)

    Be the authorized agent of the village with respect to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.

    (7)

    Issue all vehicle licenses, animal licenses, business licenses and permits except those which require a surety or bond to be posted with the Village Clerk.

    (8)

    Accept all income from taxes, licenses, fines and other sources and maintain a record of such income and transfers.

    (9)

    Execute all warrants for special assessments and other warrants which by ordinance may be directed to him.

    (10)

    Coordinate the payment of bills for services rendered by the various departments of the village; and after a reasonable time refer uncollected bills to the Law Department for such action as may be required.
