§ 2-495. Functions.

The functions of the Law Department shall include the preparation of legal opinions, ordinances, contracts and other documents to which the village is a party; the prosecution or defense of any action at law or in equity to which the village may be a party; and enforcement of judgments, decrees and other orders of court.
