§ 2-553. Election of Foreign Fire Insurance Fund Officers.

(a)

The Foreign Fire Insurance Fund created by the village pursuant to division 4 of article X of chapter 6, shall be administered by a Foreign Fire Insurance Board in the manner provided in section 11-10-2 of the Illinois Municipal Code (ILCS ch. 65, act 5, § 11-10-2), now or hereafter amended.

(b)

The active-duty members of the Fire Department shall elect six active-duty members of the Fire Department to serve as the Foreign Fire Insurance Board each April when elections to the Firefighters' Pension Fund are held, in accordance with by-laws which may be adopted by the members of the Fire Department. The Fire Chief shall be appointed as the seventh trustee. The seven members shall choose among themselves a chairperson, vice chairperson, and secretary-treasurer, and shall administer the Foreign Fire Insurance Fund in accordance said by-laws adopted by members of the Fire Department.
