§ 2-608. Functions.

The functions of the Department of Engineering and Public Works shall include but not be limited to:

(1)

Maintenance of all public streets, alleys and sidewalks in the village;

(2)

Maintenance of parkway trees and shrubbery in the village;

(3)

Maintenance of all motor vehicle equipment owned by the village other than the Fire Department vehicles;

(4)

Collection and disposal of refuse, recycling materials, and yard waste by the village;

(5)

Maintenance of the water distribution system of the village;

(6)

Maintenance of the sanitary and storm sewer systems of the village;

(7)

Maintenance of the lighting of the public streets and alleys.
