§ 8-243. Violations.

  • (a)

    Failure to obtain a permit. It shall be unlawful for any person to initiate or engage in any land-disturbing activity prior to obtaining a Grading and Drainage Permit as required herein.

    (b)

    Refusal to comply. It shall unlawful for any permittee to continue work on a site, after suspension or revocation of the Grading and Drainage Permit, or after receipt of a stop work order otherwise issued by the village.

    (c)

    Fines and penalties. Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine of not less than $250.00 and not more than $750.00 for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed for each day that an offense continues.
