§ 8-689. Removal required of existing driveways and detached garages.

(a)

Where plans are submitted to the Director of Community of Community Development for the construction of a new detached garage which show the demolition and removal of an existing detached garage, prior to the issuance of any permit or authorization under this Code:

(1)

The existing detached garage shall be demolished and removed; or

(2)

The applicant seeking said permit or authorization shall submit a bond and entry authorization described in section 8-712.

(b)

Where plans are submitted to the Director of Community of Community Development for the construction of a new driveway which show the demolition and removal of an existing driveway or other impervious surface, prior to the issuance of any permit or authorization under this Code:

(1)

The existing driveway or other impervious surface shall be demolished and removed; or

(2)

The applicant seeking said permit or authorization shall submit a bond and entry authorization described in section 8-712.
