§ 8-987. Exterior walls.

  • (a)

    For any new construction, sheathing must be a minimum of one-half-inch of plywood, OSB, or a material of similar mass.

    (b)

    The interior face of the exterior walls must be a minimum of one-half-inch drywall or a material of similar mass. Lightweight paneling and similar low mass surfaces must be backed with drywall.

    (c)

    New construction of exterior walls must include batt or blown-in insulation with a rating of R-13 or higher.
