§ 14-138. Low speed vehicles and non-highway vehicles prohibited.

(a)

Except as provided in this Code, no person shall operate any low speed vehicle or non-highway vehicle on any public street or highway, roadway, or alley.

(b)

Golf carts, as defined in the Illinois Vehicle Code, shall be permitted to temporarily cross a public street, highway, roadway, alley, or sidewalk as necessary to travel from one portion of a golf course to another portion of the same golf course.
