§ 14-458. Parking space permits.
(a)
In areas where so posted, persons who have a parking space permit from the village may park therein. Permits may be issued in such number for such areas and to such classes of vehicles and applicants as may be determined by the Village Manager. A person desiring to procure a parking space permit shall make application to the village. Payment shall be made for the permit at the rate of $4.50 per week. The permit shall extend for a three month period or as determined by the Village Manager. The parking space permit shall be numbered and show the date the permit expires. The permit shall be attached to the rear window of the vehicle of the applicant in such a manner that it may readily be read from the outside of the vehicle.
(b)
A parking space permit may not be sold, assigned or transferred. It may be revoked at any time by the village, in which event a rebate shall be prorated for the unexpired term.
(c)
The issuance of a parking space permit shall constitute a rental of vacant space and neither the village nor any of its officers nor employees shall be liable for any loss or damage to the vehicle or contents, or for the loss or theft of the same.
