§ 20-155. Numbers used on buildings.

It is the duty of the owner and occupant of every building in the village to place and maintain thereon, in a place visible from the street, figures at least three inches high, showing the number of the building. Where the property above-mentioned also abuts an alley, it is the duty of the owner to place and maintain, in a place visible from the alley, figures at least three inches high showing the number of the main building. House numbers on the curb are specifically prohibited.
