§ 22-21. Size.
(a)
Unless otherwise specified by the Village Manager or his agent, it is the duty of every owner or his agent, or the occupant of any premises, store, house, building, flat, apartment or tenement in the village to furnish watertight containers with close-fitting covers having a capacity of not less than ten, or more than 32 gallons, and provided with suitable handles, to be used for the storage and collection of refuse. The weight of the container and its contents must not exceed 65 pounds.
(b)
Multifamily residences, institutions, and commercial establishments may utilize commercial-type refuse containers with suitable lids if they are approved by the Director of Engineering and Public Works.
