Article III. SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION |
§ 22-59. Franchise and license required.
(a)
Commencing December 1, 2008, it shall be unlawful for any person or entity to engage in the business of collection, transportation or disposing of solid waste, from any commercial, industrial, institutional and multifamily building or property within the village without first having obtained a franchise from the village and made payment of the applicable business license fee as provided in chapter 24, unless said person or entity is providing such service to a building or property that has received an exemption pursuant to section 22-61.
(b)
It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to engage in the business of collection, transportation or disposal of solid waste, from any commercial, industrial, institutional or multifamily building within the village that has been exempted pursuant to section 22-61 without first having secured a business license as required under chapter 24.
