Article VI. REGULATION OF CERTAIN BUSINESS ACTIVITIES |
§ 24-166. Pesticide sprayers.
It shall be unlawful for a pesticide sprayer to do any of the following:
(1)
Spray materials containing chemical substances which are persistent compounds of chlorinated hydrocarbons, including, but not limited to, Aldrin, Chlordane, DDT, Dieldrin, Endrin, Heptachlor, and Lindane.
(2)
Spray a pesticide in the atmosphere when the true wind velocity at the level of use shall exceed ten miles per hour.
(3)
Spray a pesticide without posting warning signs in a manner which will notify any person who is outdoors and within 300 feet of the location being sprayed that spraying is in progress. Such warning signs shall contain the following message written in letters at least two inches high in indelible ink or paint means "Pesticide in Use" and the name of the licensee which is spraying the pesticide.
(4)
Use a pesticide in a manner which does not comply with the safety instructions of the manufacturer with regard to the use and storage of the pesticide and the disposal of the pesticide containers.
