§ 2-72. Duties; compensation; oath; residence.

The Board of Trustees is the legislative department of the village government, and shall perform the duties and have the powers as are delegated to it by statute and ordinance. Each Trustee shall take the oath prescribed by statute and shall receive such compensation as is fixed by ordinance. During his term of office, each Trustee shall be a resident of the village.
