§ 2-1124. Effective term of declaration.
Latest version.
The declaration of a local disaster shall be in effect for a period of up to seven days, as may be specified in the declaration by the Village President. This period may be extended only upon approval of the Village Board, unless it is impracticable for the Village Board to meet before the expiration of seven days, in which case the declaration shall continue in effect until the Village Board is first able to meet.
