§ 2-1123. Declaration of local disaster; filing.

  • (a)

    The Village President is authorized, if the Village President reasonably finds that the village, or any part thereof, is suffering or is in imminent danger of suffering a disaster, to declare a local disaster.

    (b)

    A declaration of a local disaster issued by the Village President shall be in writing, shall promptly be submitted to the Trustees, the Village Manager, the Village Clerk and the EMA Coordinator provided for in section 2-1156, and the public shall be notified through general publicity of said declaration.
