§ 2-1156. Establishment.

(a)

There hereby is created a Municipal Emergency Management Agency to prevent, minimize and alleviate injury or damage resulting from an occurrence or threat of widespread or severe damage, injury or loss of life or property resulting from any disaster as defined in section 2-1108, as authorized by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act (ILCS ch. 20, act 3305, § 1 et seq.).

(b)

The name of said agency shall be the Wilmette Emergency Management Agency (EMA), and shall consist of the EMA Coordinator, village department heads, and others as selected by the EMA Coordinator and Village Manager, to render services in connection with the performance of the functions of the EMA.
