§ 6-132. Emergency procurement.
In cases of emergency where it is necessary to protect life or property, the Village Manager is authorized to make such emergency purchases as may be necessary under such circumstances, provided that any such purchases shall be submitted to the President and Board of Trustees for ratification at their next regular meeting. If under such emergency circumstances the Village Manager cannot be contacted to provide approval in advance, a department head is authorized to make such emergency procurements as necessary, provided the department head notifies the Village Manager of same as soon thereafter as possible.
