Article XXX. APPENDIX 9B DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS IN EDENS EXPRESSWAY NOISE IMPACT AREA |
§ 8-983. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Construction means new construction of principal residential buildings and remodeling and additions to existing principal residential buildings as required by the building codes adopted by incorporation under section 8-105.
Edens Expressway Noise Impact Area means the geographic area of the village enclosed by the following boundary: Beginning at the intersection of the south public right-of-way boundary of Illinois Road and a line 100 feet west of the west right-of-way boundary of the Edens Expressway, thence south along said line 100 feet west of the west right-of-way boundary of the Edens Expressway to the south corporate limits of the village, thence east along the south corporate limits of the village to its intersection with a line 100 feet east of the east right-of-way boundary of the Edens Expressway, thence north along said line 100 feet east of the east right-of-way boundary of the Edens Expressway to the point of the intersection of said line with the south public right-of-way boundary of Lake Avenue, thence west to the east right-of-way boundary of the Edens Expressway, thence north along the east right-of-way boundary of the Edens Expressway to a line extended east across the Edens Expressway right-of-way from the south public right-of-way boundary of Illinois Road, thence west across said extension of the south public right-of-way boundary of Illinois Road to the point of the beginning. The Edens Expressway Noise Impact Area is depicted in Figure 9B-1, accompanying this article, appendix 9B.
