§ 26-140. Remote reading device.

(a)

Every water meter shall be connected to a remote reading device which allows for meter reading to be performed without entering the premises. In the event that a reading from the remote reading device differs from the reading from the inside water meter, the water meter shall be considered the true and accurate reading for billing purposes. The property owner shall be responsible for comparing the accuracy of the remote reading used for billing purposes to the inside water meter reading.

(b)

Every remote reading device shall be easily accessible and shall be kept from all obstructions so that the same may be easily read and inspected.
