 Chapter 26. SEWER AND WATER FACILITIES
 Article X. SEWER USER RATE

  § 26-292. Sewer bills.

  • (a)

    Said rates or charges for sewer service shall be payable at the same time and for the same periods as Water Service Charges.

    (b)

    The owner of the premises, the occupant thereof and the user of the service shall be jointly and severally liable to pay for the service to such premises and the service is furnished to the premises by the village only upon the condition that the owner of the premises, occupant and user of the services are jointly and severally liable therefor to the village.

    (c)

    When an owner or tenant vacates premises and does not desire to assume further responsibility for the sewer user charge, notification shall be made, to the Finance Director, requesting termination of such charge, and upon receipt of such notice, a final reading from the inside meter will be taken. The charge shall terminate as of the end of the month in which the notice is received.

    (d)

    The minimum sewer user charge for each sewer bill issued under this section shall be $27.52. On and after March 1, 2014, such minimum charge shall be $30.72. On and after March 1, 2015, such minimum charge shall be $33.92.
